Job Title: Part-Time Grant Writer

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Grant Writer to support our growing housing and development work. The Grant Writer will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, drafting compelling proposals, and managing grant reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify public and private grant opportunities aligned with CVHFH’s mission and programs.
- Draft, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting materials.
- Manage and track grant deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and program staff to develop proposal content, project budgets, and impact narratives.
- Maintain organized records of proposals, reports, and funding history.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in nonprofit grant writing and fundraising (3+ years preferred).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to translate program goals into clear and persuasive proposals.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with affordable housing, community development, or Vermont funding landscape is a plus.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and donor databases (e.g., Bloomerang or similar CRM) preferred.
Schedule & Compensation:
- 10 hours per week
- $45–$50/hour depending on experience
- Flexible schedule with occasional meetings (virtual or in-person)
