Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the ReStore Manager with day to day operations
- Coordinate store layout and merchandising.
- Provide onsite supervision of staff and volunteers.
- Lead and train staff on proper pricing structures.
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and volunteers.
- Train staff on various work functions, processes and customer service.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to effectively engage, train and retain volunteers.
- Assist with the onboarding of new staff.
- Meet or exceed budgeted sales goals, while seeking ways to reduce operating expenses.
- Supervise daily product flow, ensuring donations are handled with care and efficiency.
- Maintain store cleanliness.
- Make policy recommendations as needed.
- Handle customer complaints when necessary.
Requirements:
- Integrity, credibility, commitment to Habitat’s Mission.
- Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds.
- Retail experience helpful but not required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Creative self-starter with the ability to work both independently and with other staff and volunteers.
- Physical ability to complete work in the store/warehouse/outdoors under all weather conditions.
- Able to safely move heavy donations with assistance using moving dollies and other provided tools.
- Substance screening, criminal background check and driving history will be conducted prior to job offer.
- The position may require climbing ladders up to 6 feet high, position requires the ability to grasp, reach, stoop, carry and push objects up to 50 lbs.
