RESTORE FLOOR SUPERVISOR

Reports to : ReStore Manager
Time Requirements: Part Time (20-24 hours/week)
Permits and Requirements: Driver’s License
Status: Hourly ($20$22/hour)
Work Location: Waterbury, VT ReStore
​

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the ReStore Manager with day to day operations
  • Coordinate store layout and merchandising.
  • Provide onsite supervision of staff and volunteers.
  • Lead and train staff on proper pricing structures.
  • Ensure a safe environment for staff and volunteers.
  • Train staff on various work functions, processes and customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to effectively engage, train and retain volunteers.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new staff.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted sales goals, while seeking ways to reduce operating expenses.
  •  Supervise daily product flow, ensuring donations are handled with care and efficiency.
  • Maintain store cleanliness.
  • Make policy recommendations as needed.
  • Handle customer complaints when necessary.

Requirements:
  • Integrity, credibility, commitment to Habitat’s Mission.
  • Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds.
  • Retail experience helpful but not required.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative self-starter with the ability to work both independently and with other staff and volunteers.
  • Physical ability to complete work in the store/warehouse/outdoors under all weather conditions.
  • Able to safely move heavy donations with assistance using moving dollies and other provided tools.
  • Substance screening, criminal background check  and driving history will be conducted prior to job offer.
  • The position may require climbing ladders up to 6 feet high, position requires the ability to grasp, reach, stoop, carry and push objects up to 50 lbs.
